We are excited to be able to have everyone back in person for the Duluth Donut Dash 5k! As we rapidly approach the race, we continue to monitor the current COVID-19 situation with guidance from state and local officials and will communicate any updates on the Donut Dash race website and via email. In the meantime, and out of an abundance of caution, the Duluth Donut Dash race-day volunteers will be in adherence with recommended outdoor social distancing guidelines. Race participants and volunteers will not be required to mask but have the option to do so at their own discretion. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you!

Wellroot Family Services is celebrating its 150th year of serving children and families in Georgia. Wellroot is the longest continually operating child and family welfare organization in the state of Georgia. Wellroot has provided thousands of children and families a loving home over the past 150 years. While we celebrate all of the many children that have been fostered, adopted and loved through Wellroot, there is still much work to be done. There are over 11,000 children in care in the state of Georgia, all who are in need of a loving home and a family who can care for them. Wellroot believes that every child should be raised in a loving, compassionate, and nurturing home with the opportunity to thrive.
- Our Foster Care Program provides hope and healing to children who have been neglected or abused by providing loving foster homes and helps children find permanent homes through reunification with their birth parents or through adoption.
- Our Family Housing Program provides transitional housing and support on our Decatur campus for families that are homeless. We help them achieve sustainable independence so that they can stay together and lead healthy, safe, and fruitful lives.
- Our Independent and Transitional Living programs help foster youth ages 18-21 build a network of adult mentors and develop the life and career skills to stand on their own. Youth live on campus and then transition to live independently off campus as we teach, encourage, and equip them to become productive members of society.
Your support is absolutely vital to offering more children, young adults, and families the benefits of a healthy, stable, and safe home. Learn more at wellroot.org.
38th Annual Duluth Fall Festival
The Duluth Donut Dash 5K is proud to be a part of the Duluth Fall Festival, one of the most successful festivals in the southeast, with attendance consistently upwards of 100,000. Although this event has been canceled for this year, plans are in the making for an even better event in 2021. The Duluth Donut Dash 5K will still provide financial support to forward the goals of this organization as all proceeds raised by the Festival are used towards improving and beautifying Historic Downtown Duluth.
